Yesterday I made the mistake of just reading the plot to Old Yeller on Wikipedia. What the fuck is wrong with me?

Summer TV sucks, so this time of year I usually dive into some back catalog stuff that I’ve previously overlooked. I just fired up the first couple of episodes of Burn Notice the other night and so far, I’m kind of digging it.

Premise: Spy gets ‘burned’ (outed) and stuck in Miami. So to pay the bills he performs A-Team like odd jobs to help people in need w/ and A-Team like crew of motley characters. There’s the ex-girlfriend, drunk ex-CIA buddy (Bruce Campbell) and, well, that’s kind of it.

Anyway, is good. Season 3 just premiered on USA on Monday. Older seasons are available via DVD or BT. Not sure if it’s on Netflix instant streaming.

Uh oh. The Slim Jim factory blew up yesterday. Better start stockpiling now.

Batman Villains and Cooperation: A Utility Analysis

Most people would intuitively argue that it would make more sense for these villains to pool their skills and cooperate in order to finally rid the world of Batman. However, the decision to work alone is not entirely irrational. In fact, we can use very basic tools of utility and game theory in order to work out such a decision for a Batman villain (let’s say the Joker, being the most insane and distinguished) and show that cooperation is not necessarily the optimal choice.

I am guilty of one of these. It’s a pretty easy guess.

Gizmodo reviews the new Macbooks. And they don’t find an ‘minuses’ (Their word). SURPRISE!

Let me think of a couple:
- They’re 2x more expensive than a comparable Vista machine
- Non removable battery will eventually fuck you
- No HDMI port
- Black keyboard + Black bezel = hideous
- 1 button mouse
